Love To Ride Program

Challenge

As part of the Farmstrong wellbeing programme, we’ve set up an initiative called the Farmstrong Cycle Challenge. The idea is to get farmers and their families fitter through a fun and involving activity. And the reason is simple: farming has become far less physical than it used to be with an increased reliance on farm vehicles and automated machinery. In fact, 75% of dairy farmers are at risk of cardiovascular disease. So we challenged farmers to collectively achieve 4 million kilometres of physical activity by July 2016.  They can walk, run, bike or even swim the kilometres in any combo they like, where and when it suits.  They simply log their kms on the website, either manually or through one of three recommended apps
